On race day, 4,000 numbered rubber ducks line up in preparation to begin the race. The ducks then waddle their way up to the starting line as the crowd cheers them on. Then– they are off! Each of the 4,000 ducks participate in a breathtaking race to the finish line as our local fire departments uses water hoses to create a current that moves the ducks along an intricate race course. The 2011 grand prize winner received their very own 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer! This year there were also GUARANTEED CASH prizes, plus an array of other GUARANTEED prizes awarded for all of the winning ducks.
